Comment and Reply Dates Confirmed For Universal Service/Intercarrier Compensation NPRM

The Federal Register published today a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NPRM”) adopted by the Federal Communications Commission that seeks comment on proposals to reform the Universal Service Fund (“USF”) and the intercarrier compensation regime.  As such, the Comment and Reply Comment dates are as follows:

  • Comments due regarding intercarrier compensation issues for VoIP traffic, access stimulation, and phantom traffic:  April 1, 2011
  • Reply Comments due regarding intercarrier compensation issues for VoIP traffic, access stimulation, and phantom traffic:  April 18, 2011
  • Comments due for remaining sections of NPRM:  April 18, 2011
  • Comments due for State Members of the Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service:  May 2, 2011
  • Reply Comments due for remaining sections of NPRM:  May 23, 2011
