FCC Adopts FY 2008 Regulatory Fee Order & Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking

On August 8, 2008, the FCC issued its Fiscal Year 2008 Regulatory Fee Order. (“FY 2008 Regulatory Fee Order”), which was initiated in order to collect $312,000.000 in regulatory fees for Fiscal Year 2008 (“FY 2008”). The Commission will collect these fees during a filing window in September 2008, which will be announced at a later time. In this same proceeding, the Commission also adopted a Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“FNPRM”), in which it will explore ways to make its regulatory fee process more equitable.
