FCC Announces Proposed North American Number Plan Administration Contribution Factor and Fund Size for Fiscal Year 2008–2009

On May 22, 2008, the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau announced a proposed funding requirement of $3,895,093 and a contribution fee factor (“NANP Fee Factor”) of 0.0000165, or .00165% for the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for fiscal year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. The proposed 2008-2009 NANP Fee Factor reflects a decline from last year’s NANP Fee Factor of 0.0000264. If the FCC takes no action by June 5, 2008, the proposed fund size estimate and the NANP Fee Factor shall be deemed approved by the Commission.
