FCC Annual CPNI Officer Certification –– Due March 1, 2008

As described in a Client Advisory, the FCC strengthened its rules governing the duties of both telecommunications and Interconnected VoIP providers to protect their customers’ proprietary network information (“CPNI”). See attached Client Advisory: “FCC Adopts New CPNI Regulations.” Importantly, pursuant to the new rules, providers are now required to file their annual CPNI Officer Certifications with the FCC, whereas the prior rules merely required providers to retain the Certification in their files.
